Chile | Chilean tech recycling company Recycla has reached capacity to separate 4,000 tonnes per year of waste, following the opening of its expanded waste separation plant.
Located in capital Santiago's Pudahuel district, the plant - which used to process 700t/y of e-waste - was inaugurated by President Sebastian Pi?era.

Clear Path starts operations of new US PET recycling facility
United States | A PET recycling joint venture company established by Shaw Industries Group, Inc. and DAK Americas LLC, has began processing operations in July. The US firm, named 'Clear Path Recycling' is created to produce Recycled PET (RPET) flake from post-consumer PET bottles, CPR will bring the first phase of its Fayetteville, North Carolina. facility to full capacity in the fourth quarter of this year. The formation of CPR was announced in April 2009. Since construction began on the recycling facility, 57 full-time positions have been created.
Alter Trading Corporation buys US scrap processor
United States | Effective June 30, 2010, Alter Trading Corporation purchased Illinois-based E&J Metals and Auto Parts Company. Alter, a privately-held firm, is a leading processor of scrap metal and currently employs 907 people. The acquisition of E&J will increase Alter's presence in Illinois, further strengthening one of the largest scrap metal recycling companies in the United States.
